Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said during his speech to the soldiers in Tezpur that India was a country which was the 12th economy 14 years ago, but at present it has emerged as the 5th economy.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the front areas of 3 Corps on Thursday in Anini, a village in the Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh, the defense ministry said in a statement. The minister made an assessment at ground level of the defense readiness along the LAC. In addition, the Army Chief of Staff, General Manoj Pandey, the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lieutenant General RP Kalita of the East and other senior officers of the Indian Army were accompanied by the Defense Minister, who was also in contact with the troops deployed in the surface. After visiting the front areas, Rajnath Singh was in contact with the armed forces personnel at Tezpur in Assam.
