Owaisi opposed the ban on PFI, asked why the right-wing majority organizations were not banned?

Owaisi said that I have always been against the approach of the PFI and have supported the democratic approach. But this ban on PFI cannot be endorsed. He said the actions of a few individuals who have committed crimes do not mean that the organization itself should be banned.
The government today banned the Popular Front of India and its affiliated organizations. After this ban, politics has also started. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has opposed the ban on PFI. However, he has also said that he has consistently opposed PFI’s ideology. But such a ban is not good. In a series of tweets, Owaisi said I have always opposed PFI’s approach and supported the democratic approach. But this ban on PFI cannot be endorsed. He said the actions of a few individuals who have committed crimes do not mean that the organization itself should be banned.

Owaisi went on to say that the Supreme Court has also ruled that just association with an organization is not enough to convict someone. But such a strict ban is dangerous because it is a ban on any Muslim who wants to express his opinion. Owaisi attacked the government, saying that as India’s electoral autocracy approaches fascism, every Muslim youth will be arrested with a PFI pamphlet under India’s black law, UAPA. He claimed that Muslims spent decades in prison before being acquitted by the courts. I am against UAPA and will always oppose all actions under UAPA. It violates the principle of liberty, which is part of the basic structure of the Constitution.

Owaisi also said that we should remember that Congress amended the UAPA to make it stricter and when BJP changed the law to make it stricter, Congress backed it. He said that this case will follow Kappan’s time limit with any activist or journalist being arbitrarily arrested and also taking 2 years to get bail. He wondered how the PFI was banned, but why not the organization involved in the perpetrators of the Khaja Ajmeri explosions? Why has the government not banned right-wing majority organizations?
