Let us tell you that the Delhi Supreme Court had previously revoked its virtual stay in the process in the IRCTC hotel scam involving former Railways Minister Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and 11 others. The High Court had allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation to file arguments over the drafting of charges against the accused in court.

For a long time, the court had imposed many restrictions on Lalu Yadav, including the ban on traveling abroad, which prevented him from leaving India. The CBI had registered a case against Prasad and others in July 2017. After nearly a year of investigation, the agency filed its charges in April 2018. In accordance with the February 2019 order of the Delhi High Court, the CBI filed in March 2020.
