Assembly elections are going to be held in many states of the country including Chhattisgarh this year. There is speculation that the BJP may try the Gujarat formula in these elections as well. The ruling BJP had denied tickets to many sitting MLAs and veteran leaders in the Gujarat assembly elections. The BJP had secured a historic majority in Gujarat. In this success of BJP, the formula of cutting the tickets of ‘non-performing leaders’ is also discussed. Since the election atmosphere has already started heating up in Chhattisgarh, speculations are rife about BJP’s Gujarat formula being tried here too. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has taken a jibe at this.

Baghel said – I am worried about Raman
In the election year, the leaders of BJP and Congress are not missing any chance to attack each other. On Tuesday, CM Bhupesh Baghel also took a jibe at the speculation that the Gujarat formula would be adopted by the BJP in Chhattisgarh. He said that the BJP leaders of the state are worried about getting ticket due to the possibility of trying Gujarat’s formula in the state as well. Taking a jibe at the former Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel said that I am worried that the ticket of Raman Singh and former minister Brijmohan Agarwal may not be cut.

The central government is not giving the amount of the state
Along with this, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel termed the state’s BJP leaders’ claim of getting huge funds from the Center as propaganda. He said that the reality is that Chhattisgarh is not getting the funds it is getting from the Center as per the rules. Taking a dig at the statement of state BJP president Arun Saw, Baghel told reporters that despite all the efforts, the Center is not giving Rs 4,177 crore of coal royalty to the state. The state is not getting its share in the amount of GST. Sao is an MP from Bilaspur while many trains canceled from Bilaspur Railway Zone Headquarters during the Corona period are still cancelled.

BJP leader slept for four years
Targeting Arun Sau, Bhupesh Baghel said that many trains were canceled even in the name of transportation of coal, but Sau never raised his voice about it. If Sao is well wisher of the state, then he should get the outstanding amount from the central government immediately. The state also has its share in central taxes. According to the constitution, the states have to give their share in it. This is not a favor. He said that BJP leaders were asleep for four years. Now when the election year has come and the new in-charge Mathur ji has come, there is a competition to make any allegation to please him.

BJP people only make rhetoric
According to the report of news agency Varta, Baghel further said that BJP people only make rhetoric. BJP leaders had made big promises of doubling the income of the farmers, but the promises have proved to be empty. The reality is that the Congress government of Chhattisgarh has doubled the income of the farmers. Due to remunerative prices of crops and other concessions, the number of farmers doing farming has increased by about 10 lakhs in the last four years. The area under cultivation has also increased. The biggest example of this is the procurement of record 100 lakh metric tonnes of paddy at the support price so far this year.
