One person was overwhelmed with online shopping at Meesho. Actually, after Amazon and Flipkart, Meesho’s online delivery has now gone wrong. A man from Bihar says he ordered a drone from the online trading platform Meesho. But instead they got potatoes. The customer captured the entire incident on camera. Chetan Kumar, a businessman from Parwalpur in Nalanda, found the package suspicious and asked the delivery person to open the box before taking the order. He also recorded it on the mobile in which potatoes are kept in the box made to transport the drone. The video is now going viral on social media platforms.

It is not the first time that the delivery via online commerce has gone wrong. Earlier this week, two Amazon and Flipkart customers each claimed to have received the wrong product. Yashasvi Sharma, a Flipkart user, says he bought a laptop from the ongoing Big Billion Days sale, but in return Flipkart gave him packs of watch detergent bars. Sharma says the delivery was accepted by his father, who was unaware of the “open-box” delivery concept and accepted the order without checking it out. While he has CCTV footage to back up his claim that the Flipkart delivery person comes and goes without inspecting the box, the e-tailer’s customer service claims that since the delivery was accepted, there is no refund.

Likewise, Arpit Mehrotra says he got the Noise smartwatch instead of the Apple Watch he ordered from Amazon. He writes in a LinkedIn post “We ordered an Apple Watch in the ongoing Great Indian Festive sale on Amazon. First our order was delayed and later delivered. But the package was Noise Watch, not Apple Watch”.
