IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update, 25 January Weather Forecast: Light to moderate rains are occurring over the hilly states and adjoining plains. In the last 24 hours, rain has been seen in many states including Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, UP. At the same time, snowfall on the mountain has increased the difficulties of the people. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain in many states for the coming days as well.
The Meteorological Department has told that the rainy season will continue for the next 24 hours in the Western Himalayan region and the states of North West India. At the same time, from January 28, a new Western Disturbance is going to knock in North West India, due to which there is a possibility of change in the weather. Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, heavy rains occurred in Kerala and Mahe. Whereas, Himachal Pradesh witnessed heavy rain and snowfall.
States like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, East UP, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc. also received light to moderate rains in the last 24 hours. Talking about the cold, West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana recorded minimum temperature between 6-10 degree Celsius. Apart from this, dense fog was observed during morning and night hours over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there will be moderate rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region on January 25. This includes states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir. Whereas, light to moderate rains are expected over Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has told that from January 28, Western Disturbance is going to affect parts of North West India, due to which there will be light to moderate rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region on January 28-29. At the same time, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in Uttarakhand on 29 January.
Giving information about the winter, the Meteorological Department said that there is not going to be any major change in the temperature of the states of North West India in the next 24 hours. After that the temperature will be lower by two to four degrees for two days. At the same time, then there will be an increase in the temperature and the temperature will increase by three to five degrees Celsius. In the rest of the states, there is no possibility of any significant change in the temperature for the next five days. Dense fog is likely to occur during morning and evening hours over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Assam and Tripura for the next 48 hours. Apart from this, Sheetlahar is going to make a comeback in West Rajasthan. The condition of cold wave is going to remain for the next three days.
