Fast bowler Anureet Singh announced his retirement from cricket. After a long wait for a debut in international cricket, he finally took such a step.
It is noteworthy that Anureet has performed well in the IPL. However, he did not get the chance to debut in international cricket for India but played in domestic cricket for IPL, Baroda, Sikkim and Railways. From the year 2008 to the year 2021, he was very active in domestic cricket. In a career spanning nearly 13 years, he played 72 First Class, 56 List A, 71 T20 matches. During this period he took 249 wickets in first-class wickets and a total of 85 in List A. He has 64 wickets in T20 cricket.

The history of IPL tells that Anureet Singh played for Punjab Kings (PBKS), KKR and RR in IPL. He has taken 18 wickets in IPL. Anureet has spoken openly about her heart as she announced her retirement.
He wrote: ‘From childhood I wanted to be a cricketer. It was a wonderful journey. When I was 16 years old I joined the Subhania Cricket Club in Delhi. When I got the chance to play for Indian Railways in the Ranji Trophy against Karnataka in 2008 in the domestic season, it was like a dream come true for me.”
He further wrote: “I am my captain and coach Sanjay Bangar, (Sanju Bhaiya, Abhay Sharma Sir) and Murali Karthik (Katie Bhaiya), my coach Radheshyam Sharma sir, Devinder Bisht sir, Rajan Sachdeva sir. Thanks for guiding and mentoring (Rajan Sachdeva). Who has played an important role not only in my cricket career, but also in my personal life. Whatever I am today is because of his leadership.”
Anureet Singh in his emotional post also thanked BCCI, Western Railway, Northern Railway, Indian Railways, Baroda Cricket Association, Sikkim Cricket Association, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings and KKR for giving the opportunity.
