Apple has updated MacBook Pro models, now Apple MacBook Pro models come with Touch Bar with faster Intel Core processors and an updated version of the ‘Butterfly’ keyboard. Apple claims that the 2019 MacBook Pro laptops deliver up to two times faster performance than the current quad-core processor model and 40 percent more powerful than the hexa-core processor model. The 15-inch MacBook Pro gets the option of a new octa-core Intel chip, making the new MacBook Pro model the fastest Mac notebook ever. Beyond this, Apple said it has changed the “butterfly” mechanism, which has been an issue for many MacBook users, especially in the 2019 MacBook Pro models.
The most powerful option in the new Apple MacBook Pro lineup is the 15-inch model, which is powered by the 9th-generation Intel Core processor. The top variant of the 15-inch MacBook Pro is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core Intel Core i9 processor that comes with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.8GHz.
However, there is also the base model of the 15-inch range that is equipped with a 2.6 GHz hexa-core Intel Core i7 processor and Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.5 GHz. The base model is equipped with 256 GB SSD storage, while the top variant has 512 GB SSD storage. Both models have 16 GB of RAM.
As a reminder, the most powerful alternative to last year’s 15-inch MacBook Pro model was the 8th-generation, hexa-core Intel Core i7 and Core i9 processors with a maximum clock speed of 2.9 GHz. This indicates that there is a significant performance upgrade in the new 15-inch MacBook Pro model.
Apart from the new 15-inch MacBook Pro model, Apple has made some changes to the flagship processor of the 13-inch MacBook Pro model that comes with Touch Bar. The base variant of the new lineup is powered by 8th generation 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processors with Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz.
Last year’s 13-inch MacBook Pro models featured quad-core 8th-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors with clock speeds of 2.7 GHz. The 13-inch MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar launched last year come with dual-core processors.
Speaking of the price, the updated model will be available in India at a lower cost. The updated 13-inch MacBook Pro model and 15-inch MacBook Pro model with Touch Bar will be available at the end of this week from authorized Apple resellers and will cost Rs 1,59,900 and Rs 1,99,900 respectively.
