Apple launches 13-inch MacBook Pro, price and specification announced


Apple has upgraded its MacBook Pro with a new 13-inch model, with the new Magic Keyboard replacing the Butterfly keyboard. The new MacBook Pro model comes with a 10th-generation Intel Core processor, which provides up to 80 percent faster experience than the older 13-inch MacBook Pro. With the new MacBook Pro model, you get 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Apart from that, you get 32 ​​GB of RAM and 4 TB of storage in its top model.

The price of 13-inch MacBook Pro in India starts from Rs. 1.22.990. While Apple hasn’t given exact information on its availability in view of the Corona virus shutdown, it certainly said at launch that this new model will be made available through Apple’s authorized resellers in the coming days.

Apple has given in this MacBook a 13.3-inch LED-backlit IPS display, which was also given in the previous 13-inch model. The base variant uses the older 8th generation Intel Core i5 CPU, which has a clock speed of 1.4 GHz and a boost speed of 3.9 GHz. In addition, it has 8 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 256 GB of storage. This model has 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports, but this time comes standard with the Apple Touch Bar.

However, some notable changes have been made to the premium variant, which starts at $1,799. In this you get a quad-core 10th generation Intel Core i5 processor, which will have a clock speed of 2 GHz. And the Turbo Boost speed will be 3.8GHz. It has 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512 GB of storage. This RAM can be upgraded to 32 GB. Apart from this, it gets 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports while getting 6K display like Apple Pro Display XDR capability.

You also get Intel Irish Plus graphics in this MacBook Pro, which can deliver 80 percent faster performance than the old 13-inch MacBook Pro model. The new graphics allow for 4K video editing and a smooth gameplay experience, which was also found in the previous version. Apart from this, you also get the option to connect the new MacBook with Pro Display XDR, which has a resolution of 6K.

The new MacBook Pro 13-inch model gets the Magic Keyboard, which Apple used to offer with the 16-inch MacBook Pro that was launched in November last year. The new keyboard is an improved version of the existing Butterfly keyboard, and Apple has redesigned the scissor mechanism with 1mm key spacing. It has an inverted T arrangement for the arrow keys.
