The Lahore High Court had ordered the Toshakhana Gift records from 2002 to be made public. After which the Shahbaz Sharif government of Pakistan put the record in front of the public.

The controversy related to Toshakhana in Pakistan has once again become hot. The document related to Toshakhana Gift has been issued. This shows that not only Imran but other leaders of Pakistan have also misused power properly. They got the gifts taken out from Tosha Khan at arbitrary prices. Gave a very small price in exchange for the gift. Not only this, many times the gifts were taken away without giving money. The Lahore High Court had ordered the Toshakhana Gift records from 2002 to be made public. After which the Shahbaz Sharif government of Pakistan put the record in front of the public.

From Musharraf to Imran

Toshkhana’s 466-page record from 2002 to 2023 was released on the website of the Cabinet Division. Accordingly, Pervez Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, Yousuf Raza Gilani, Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Imran Khan took hundreds of gifts as rulers. After the government made public the record of gifts taken from Toshakhana, this issue is being discussed everywhere.

only 9 books left

From Nawaz Sharif to Imran Khan, all the former rulers have left only one thing in the Toshkhana and that is 9 gift books. No ruler took these books while going home and later these books were sent to the library. It is the height of intellectual and moral degradation and corruption that necklace, watch and any other gift were not found in Toshakhana. This is the real face of almost all the rulers of this country and the law has been resorted to in self-defense. In the civilized world people are given facilities and privileges in exchange for taking taxes, but in Pakistan the first thing is that the rich people do not pay taxes. Taxes are collected from the pockets of poor people and small traders and instead of being spent back on the people, the tax is spent on the luxuries of the royal officials.

Shaukat Aziz tops the free gift chart

Shaukat Aziz tops the charts with freebies. He and his wife kept over 700 gifts, estimated to be worth at least 2.7 million rupees. Former President Pervez Musharraf and his wife had kept more than 77 gifts free of cost, whose value was estimated to be around Rs 899,660. Interestingly, when Musharraf was at the helm, many low-level government employees sported watches with extremely high price tags for free.
