The incident took place on March 12 when two minor brothers died in suspected cases of attack by stray dogs roaming the streets. The police gave this information on Sunday.

Police said the deceased have been identified as Anand (seven) and Aditya (five). These two brothers lived with their parents in a slum area in Sindhi Basti. Police said that on March 10, at around 3 pm, Anand was reported missing, following which the SHO, Vasant Kunj (South), along with a police team and the child’s family, launched a search for him. A senior police officer said that after searching for two hours in the forest adjacent to the slum, the child’s body was found near a wall at an isolated place.

The official said that several injury marks were found on the child’s body which looked like animal bites. Police said that a case has been registered in this regard and the body has been sent for postmortem.
