Mumbai Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Rajshree Productions on the occasion of the completion of 75 years of establishment and said the banner has showcased the “beauty of Indian culture and values” for decades. According to the official Twitter page of the Mumbai-based entertainment studio, the Prime Minister had written a letter to the banner’s director Kamal Kumar Barjatya on Aug. 29.

The Prime Minister wrote in the letter: “I congratulate you on the completion of 75 years of our country’s independence and 75 years of your journey. It is interesting that Rajshri Productions celebrated its 75th anniversary on our Independence Day itself. I congratulate your family and your team on this momentous occasion and wish you success in all your future endeavors.” A copy of the letter was shared in a Twitter post.

Rajshree Productions, founded in 1947 by Tarachand Barjatya, is one of the oldest, largest and renowned entertainment studios in India. Known for its family entertainers and melodic music, the banner provided opportunities for new talents, including ‘Dosti’ (1964), ‘Ankhiyon Ke Jharokho Se’ (1978), ‘Nadiya Ke Paar’ (1982), ‘Saaransh’ ( 1984), Salman Khan with ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ (1989), ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ (1994), ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ (1999) Hain’ has produced many successful films. Apart from this, the banner has also produced successful series such as ‘Woh Rahe Wali Mahalon Ki’, ‘Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli’ and ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha-Meetha Pyara-Pyaar’.
“Under the guidance of your father Tarachand Barjatya, Rajshree Productions has entertained generations of audiences through various mediums be it film, television or music, showing the beauty of Indian culture and values,” said Modi. Sooraj Barjatya has also done memorable work in the entertainment world in this series. Development and heritage go hand in hand.
