The government has imposed a five-year ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI) and several other organizations associated with it for their alleged involvement in terror activities and “links” to terrorist organizations such as ISIS. In recent days, raids have taken place on the buildings of the Popular Front of India (PFI). So far, more than 378 people have been arrested in various states of the country. Police and investigative services have found suspicious things in continuous raids, which is why the Union Ministry of Interior has now banned PFI.

Earlier, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde welcomed the decision of the central government to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI), which seeks to disrupt the integrity, sovereignty and law and order of the country. He supported the decision by making a statement and said that the PFI, which lifted slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, has no right to proclaim such slogans in the country. The Ministry of the Interior will take action on this. The central government has made the right decision. This is a country of patriots. The CM thanked the Union Minister of the Interior Amit Shah for this decision.

The government took this step after the raids on the buildings associated with the PFI and its leaders. Organizations banned under the Anti-Terrorism Act ‘UAPA’ include ‘Rehab India Foundation’ (RIF), ‘Campus Front of India’ (CF), ‘All India Imam Council’ (AIIC), ‘National Confederation of Human Rights Organization’ (NCHRO).), ‘National Women’s Front’, ‘Junior Front’, ‘Empower India Foundation’ and ‘Rehab Foundation (Kerala)’ just to name a few. More than 150 people were detained or arrested Tuesday after raids in seven states against the 16-year-old outfit. Five days earlier, PFI-affiliated sites were raided across the country and more than 100 people were arrested for the various activities, while a large number of property was also seized.
