ABVP has made a big claim regarding last night’s dispute in Jawaharlal Nehru Campus. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad president said that students from outside the university had come to the screening and attacked ABVP students. The ABVP said that the Left-wing students’ union, the Students’ Federation of India, carried out the attack. Students from outside JNU came to the screening and attacked ABVP students. ABVP president Rohit Kumar said, “We have decided to stay away from the controversy and asked all the members not to go near the screening.”

However, yesterday when there was a power failure, he had to go out for dinner and when he was returning, JNUSU members assaulted him. The ABVP has also given a written complaint to the police and a separate complaint to the JNU administration. The student wing of the RSS has requested action within two days to ensure the safety of everyone inside the campus.

The ABVP also released photographs of people who they said were from outside JNU and were part of the incident and circled their faces. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) witnessed massive chaos and violence on Tuesday after the administration cut off power supply to the campus as several students gathered at the JNU Students Union office for the screening of BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
