ED asked to respond to Jacqueline’s application for Dubai travel in two days

Jacqueline, an accused in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving alleged swindler Sukesh Chandrasekhar, has sought permission from the court to travel to Dubai from January 27 to 30. Additional Sessions Judge Shailendra Malik adjourned the matter till January 27 after the ED sought time to file a detailed reply to Jacqueline’s application.

New Delhi. A Delhi court on Wednesday granted two days time to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to respond to actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s application seeking permission to travel to Dubai. Jacqueline, an accused in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving alleged swindler Sukesh Chandrasekhar, has sought permission from the court to travel to Dubai from January 27 to 30. Additional Sessions Judge Shailendra Malik adjourned the matter till January 27 after the ED sought time to file a detailed reply to Jacqueline’s application.

Special Judge Malik was to hear arguments on the actress’ application on Wednesday. Jacqueline did not appear in the court on Wednesday and was represented by her lawyer. Jacqueline was granted regular bail on November 15, 2022 in the case. He was not arrested in the case. The judge had asked the actress to appear before the court on August 31 after taking cognizance of the supplementary charge sheet filed by the ED.
