New Delhi. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the alleged excise policy scam in Delhi, has made the first arrest. NIA news agency quoted sources as saying that the CBI has arrested Vijay Nair, former CEO of the event management company Only Much Louder, in this case. Sources said the suspect is close to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Excise Minister Manish Sisodia.

According to sources, accused Vijay Nair was called to CBI headquarters and arrested after questioning. He has been arrested for conspiracy, ‘cartel formation’ and ‘elected license’.
A total of 9 people have been named in the FIR. In which a lookout circular has been issued against all eight accused, except Manoj Rai, former vice president of Pernod Ricard.
The suspects include Vijay Nair, former CEO of Only Much Louder, Amandeep Dhal, owner of Brindco Spirits, Sameer Mahendru, owner of Indospirit, Amit Arora, director of Buddy Retail, Dinesh Arora of Radha Industries, Sunny Marwah, owners of Mahadev Liquor, Arjun Ramchandra Pillai and Arjun Pandey are included. They have all been banned from leaving the country.
