Case filed against Congress leader Ajay Rai by acting director of Babatpur airport

A case has been registered against senior Congress leader Ajay Rai under various sections at Phulpur police station for his statement that former Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s plane was not allowed to land at Varanasi’s Babatpur airport. Significantly, senior Congress leader Ajay Rai had on Tuesday alleged that the airport authority did not allow Rahul Gandhi’s plane to land here at the “last moment”, forcing him to return to the national capital. Rai had said that Gandhi had to go to Prayagraj to attend a function at Prayagraj’s Kamla Nehru Memorial Hospital.
According to the police, Ajay Pathak, acting director of Babatpur airport, has filed a complaint against Rai at Phulpur police station for conspiring to defame and damage the reputation of the airport authority. Pathak has said in Nethrir that along with the President’s arrival at Babatpur airport on February 13, there was information about Rahul Gandhi’s arrival. But in this regard, information was received from Kinnaur Air Traffic Control that due to change of schedule of Rahul Gandhi, his plane has taken off from Kannur to New Delhi.
According to the police, on the complaint of the reader, the Phulpur police has registered a case against Ajay Rai under various sections. On the other hand, Ajay Rai said, “We are not afraid of the lawsuit, it is necessary to expose the BJP government.” He said that under the pressure of the government, a case has been filed against me on the complaint of the acting airport director.
Rai said that many times in the past, under the pressure of the BJP government at the Centre, cases were filed against me and even the National Security Act was imposed, but even then I stood firm and fought vigorously. We will expose the BJP completely, these lawsuits cannot lower my spirits. Rai said that we want to warn the BJP government that we have not bowed down, we will not bow down, we stood firmly, are standing and will continue to stand.
