Jammu. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said he and his party do not agree with Digvijaya Singh’s statement on ‘surgical strikes’ and the armed forces need not show any proof. Singh had on Monday raised questions on the ‘surgical strike’ and accused the government of lying. Gandhi told reporters here, “I do not agree with Digvijay Singh’s statement. It is quite clear that we disagree with this. This is the official stand of the Congress.

“They (armed forces) need not provide any proof,” he said. Addressing a public meeting during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Jammu and Kashmir, Singh had on Monday said, Let’s talk about strike. They talk about killing many people but haven’t given any proof. They are ruling with the help of bundles of lies.
