New Delhi. The Delhi Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the Aam Aadmi party (AAP) and its leaders to refrain from making “false” charges against Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena shortly after Saxena tweeted “Satyamev Jayate”. The court also ordered AAP leaders to remove the alleged defamatory posts, videos and tweets against the Lt Governor from social media.
AAP leaders had alleged that Saxena, during his tenure as chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) in November 2016, acquired the currency that had been withdrawn from circulation and converted it into a new currency. Let us tell you that AAP leaders had accused the lieutenant governor of being involved in an alleged scam of Rs 1,400 crore. Saxena had sent legal notices to AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Durgesh Pathak and Jasmine Shah, Vice-Chairman of Delhi’s Dialogue and Development Commission.
