This Loktak Lake is located 53 km from Imphal in the Bishnupur district of Manipur. This lake is also world famous as a floating lake. The natural islands created in this lake are very beautiful and worth seeing and are called ‘Phumdi’. The largest of these islands is spread over an area of 40 square kilometers. Local fishermen live on this phumdis. In addition, this Loktak lake floating on the beautiful view of nature also makes Manipur strong and strong financially.
