Padmanabhaswamy Temple is one of the most spectacular temples in Kerala, which is visited by a large number of tourists throughout the year. Let me tell you, there are some strict rules for entering the temple. Like here women get entry only by wearing saree. Men have to wear dhoti to enter the temple. The temple has been following these rules for more than 5000 years. However, since 2016, the temple management has allowed women to enter in salwar suits as well.

You have to follow the dress code to enter the temple. Along with this, only Hindu and Indian people get entry in the temple. Apart from this, only married people can visit the temple.

by train- The nearest station to Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is Thiruvananthapuram. It is just 600 meters away and can be reached in an 8-minute walk. Tourists can also board a train from Kochuveli Railway Station which is about 9 km from the temple.

by bus- Vizhinjam Bus Station is the nearest to the temple. It is only 16 km away.
