Reliance Entertainment celebrates ‘The Fablemans’ receiving 7 Oscar nominations

Los Angeles | Reliance Entertainment’s The Fablemans, directed by Steven Spielberg, is one of the most nominated films at the 95th Academy Awards. The film is competing in the categories of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Production Design and Best Original Score.

In the Best Picture category, ‘The Fablemans’ along with ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, ‘The Banshees of Inishrin’, ‘Elvis’, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, ‘Tar ‘, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Triangle of Sadness’ and ‘Women Talking’.

Spielberg is competing with Martin McDonagh, Daniel Kwan, Daniel Scheinert, Todd Field and Ruben Ostlund in the Best Director category. In Best Supporting Actor, Judd Hirsch of ‘The Fablemans’ will be competing with Brendan Gleeson, Brian Tyree Henry, Barry Keoghan and Ke Huay Quan. Michelle Williams is nominated alongside Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, Andrea Riseborough and Michelle Yeoh.

‘The Fablemans’ is a 2022 American drama film. It is a semi-autobiographical story based on Spielberg’s adolescence and early life as a filmmaker. Told through the origin story of the fictional Sammy Feibelman, a young aspiring filmmaker who discovers how the power of movies can help him see the truth about his dysfunctional family and the people around him (IANS)
