International conference on changing agriculture sector for a better tomorrow

The World Bank and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) are going to organize the first international conference this month with the aim of bringing changes in the agriculture sector for a better tomorrow. The theme of the three-day conference (March 21 to 23) is ‘Blended Learning Ecosystem for Higher Education in Agriculture’. The conference is being hosted by premier institutions like ICAR and Indian Agricultural Statistical Research Institute (IASRI). Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will inaugurate the conference.

The conference is a multi-stakeholder global platform to support the alliance towards the development of state-of-the-art blended learning systems for higher agricultural education. According to a release from ICAR, the objective of the conference is to facilitate a global ecosystem of partners from academia, industry, government and multilateral and bilateral organisations. Several other ministries will also be participants of the conference.
